On the afternoon of December 7th, a leader of the An Giang Department of Tourism confirmed that a lavish seven-day wedding celebration for an Indian couple had just taken place at a resort, entertainment, and conference complex in the northern part of Phu Quoc Island.

According to information from Vingroup Phu Quoc, this is considered the largest wedding ever held in Phu Quoc for an Indian couple, not only because of the budget but also because of the "destination design," which included: renting an entire large 5-star resort in Phu Quoc; using the entire private beach, convention center, and outdoor swimming pool.

At the same time, the wedding utilized the plaza within the VinWonders Phu Quoc amusement park and the entire upscale coastal zone.

This Indian wedding ceremony was uniquely held simultaneously in five different venues. Each venue had its own distinct decorative concept, independently designed and constructed, with the total estimated cost of decoration and setup exceeding $2 million USD.

Indian weddings are celebrated separately, reflecting the rich cultural traditions of the country.

Guests arrived in Phu Quoc on four round-trip charter flights on large aircraft; eight private jets were reserved for family and VIP guests, bringing together many officials and billionaires; and 40 top artists were invited to perform exclusively.

The event took place during the peak tourist season at the end of the year. Service industry personnel were extremely scarce, but the organization mobilized all available resources to ensure full service.

According to the An Giang Department of Tourism, Phu Quoc is currently a popular tourist destination attracting many international visitors, including many Indian billionaire couples who come to hold their weddings to experience the romantic atmosphere and capture beautiful moments amidst the sea and forest scenery of Phu Quoc.

In 2025, Phu Quoc is expected to welcome more than 147,000 Indian tourists for recreation and tourism.
