Thanh Hoa Women: Awakening the spirit of independence, creativity and aspiration to rise up

With the motto "Directing all activities to the grassroots", innovating working methods, being creative", in the 2021-2026 term, the Women's Union at all levels of Thanh Hoa province has selected key tasks, priority issues that are appropriate, specific, clear in content, and not formal to implement. The results of the union's work and the women's movement have achieved and exceeded 9/9 targets and plans set.

Women are present in all fields, striving for gender equality.

Implementing the motto: "The Central Government sets strategic directions, the province applies them creatively, the communes grasp the members, and the district understands women" and "Where there are women, there are union activities", the women's union organization is increasingly consolidated and developed strongly. In all fields, women have made more and more important contributions, received attention and created conditions to participate in leadership positions, making an important contribution to planning, organizing and implementing the province's socio -economic development strategy and gender equality work. The proportion of female cadres participating in Party committees and authorities is increasing. In particular, the proportion of women participating in the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term accounts for 10.8%. The proportion of female cadres participating in commune-level Party committees reached 22.7% (an increase of 4.04%); the proportion of female National Assembly deputies of the XV term reached 21.43%; The proportion of female delegates to the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term reached 20% (an increase of 2.11%), and the proportion of female delegates to the Commune People's Council reached 27.29% (an increase of 3.42%). During the term, 47 association officials were promoted, transferred, and rotated to hold positions in Party, government, and mass organizations. Establish and effectively promote the "Network of confident female leaders in integration" and the "Women Intellectuals" Club of the province to improve capacity and implement social security programs, counseling, legal and psychological consultation in handling cases of violations of the legitimate rights and interests of women and children.

In the economic field, women account for nearly 50% of the workforce and play an important role in the development of many industries. In the context of integration and digital transformation, women quickly adapt, actively participate in the wave of startups, develop enterprises, cooperatives, traditional occupations, diversify livelihoods, increase income, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction.

In the cultural and social fields, women have made many important contributions, spreading knowledge, nurturing personality, inspiring learning, working, and creating to serve production and life, and contributing to preserving, maintaining, and spreading the good traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnamese women, the land and people of Thanh Hoa to domestic and international friends. At the same time, actively participating in the movement "All people protect national security", fighting against the " Peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces, maintaining social order and safety, protecting the sovereignty of borders and islands.

In general, women's forces by target group increasingly demonstrate their potential, development, role and position in family, community and social life.

9/9 targets completed and exceeded

In the 2021-2026 term, it is encouraging that 9/9 targets for implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Women's Congress were met and exceeded. Notably, the Women's Union at all levels helped more than 12,100 households escape poverty and near poverty (reaching 108.61%). Nearly 7,000 members were supported to improve their start-up capacity (reaching 465.8%) and more than 2,500 women started businesses, establishing 565 female-owned enterprises (reaching 226%).

A highlight of the term is that the Provincial Women's Union proactively advised and approved the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women and creating jobs for female workers in the period 2022-2030" and supported the establishment of 24 cooperatives (reaching 240%). Along with that, activities to support women in developing the digital economy were focused with nearly 5,000 members trained in digital technology application skills, more than 800 products made by women were promoted on e-commerce platforms.

The association at all levels has promoted its role in participating in Party building, building the political system, mobilizing society to implement gender equality and introducing nearly 5,800 outstanding female masses for the Party to consider and admit (reaching 115.84%). The breakthrough implementation of "Accompanying the building of strong women's branches and groups" has been effectively implemented by the association at all levels with many creative methods. Up to now, the whole province has 850,653 members, an increase of 41,531 members compared to the beginning of the term (reaching 103.82%). For the first time, the whole province recognized more than 1,800 honorary members who are leaders of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, unions, and businessmen who have made many contributions to society, accompanying the association and the women's movement.

The association's unique marks

From the core movement of emulation "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the union at all levels has had thousands of activities, projects and tasks of members and women, creating clear impressions and being recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee and the government. Typical examples include: "From collecting scrap - to millions of gifts", "Flower Street - Painting Street - Tree Rows - Green Fences", "Clean House - Model Garden", "Clean House - Beautiful Garden"; “Introducing typical products produced by women on cyberspace”, “Ao Dai - National costume on Tet holiday”... The above models and tasks have contributed to the effective implementation of the Campaign “Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean, contributing to fostering Vietnamese family values”, making practical contributions to the implementation of the hard criteria of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas with nearly 4,600 projects and tasks (reaching 165.67%), helping more than 55,300 households meet the criteria of “5 no, 3 clean”, “5 yes, 3 clean” (reaching 395.26%).

Many social security programs of the association have become bright spots of humanity, spreading the spirit of responsibility, affirming the role of the association in caring for and protecting the rights of women and children, such as: "Godmothers support, care for, and raise orphans", the association at all levels received and connected to sponsor more than 2,300 orphans with a budget of about 8.5 billion VND/year; mobilized nearly 5 billion VND to implement the program "Accompanying women in border areas", helping to improve the material and spiritual life of women and people in border areas; awarded tens of thousands of gifts worth nearly 20 billion VND to implement the program "Millions of gifts to share love"; mobilized support resources to build and repair 336 "homes of love" worth 11.5 billion VND...

The outstanding mark of the association in the past term is also the increasingly professional innovation of propaganda, effective application of digital technology. From investing in both quantity and quality of propaganda materials such as posters, clips, media photo sets, SMS messages to communication activities through competitions, exchanges... Thereby, stimulating learning, striving to follow the good, the beautiful, the useful, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo.

The outstanding achievements of the association have aroused pride, sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute among women of all walks of life, contributing to improving the effectiveness of Party building, building the political system, and consolidating the great national unity bloc. The Provincial Women's Union has been recognized by the Party and the State and awarded many noble prizes and titles.

Continuing to promote the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women and women of the heroic homeland of Ba Trieu, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union strives for the common goal of: closely following the political tasks of the province; building a strong union organization, operating effectively, adapting flexibly to the new context. Building a team of union officials who are brave, dedicated, creative, innovative, closely following the locality, firmly grasping the members, and understanding women. Promoting the role of women in participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system. Focusing on building Thanh Hoa women to develop comprehensively, focusing on propaganda, educating traditions, fostering patriotism, national pride, ethics, lifestyle, personality, training political mettle, self-control, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, and aspiration to rise up.
