On the afternoon of June 3 in Hanoi , the Final Jury of the 19th National Press Award 2024 completed the final round of judging.
Of the 183 finalist works, the council discussed, evaluated and voted to select 125 works for awards, including 13 A prizes, 27 B prizes, 49 C prizes, and 36 consolation prizes to award the 19th National Press Award in 2024.
So this year there is no special prize awarded like some previous years. The total number of prizes is also almost the same as the awards in the past few years.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the final round, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Final Round Council of the 19th National Press Awards 2024 - said that the council had discussed thoroughly, impartially and selected 183 works for the final round with an objective and responsible spirit.
The final jury determined that the entries met the selection criteria, comprehensively and deeply reflecting the country's political , economic, cultural, social, security, defense, and foreign affairs life in 2024.

Many works are invested seriously and elaborately, with content that discovers new issues, criticizes and builds major policies and guidelines of the Party and State; proposes many solutions and good ways of doing things that have a widespread influence in society.
Many works demonstrate professionalism, creativity, and application of modern journalism technology, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign readers.
At the opening ceremony of the final round, the Final Judging Council also listened to some suggestions for improving the judging of the National Press Awards in both the preliminary and final rounds.
The National Press Awards Ceremony will be solemnly held on the evening of June 21, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
