A representative of the retailer with a nationwide distribution system - Central Retail Vietnam said that this year the unit continues to accompany Bac Giang lychee. Central Retail is committed to directly supporting businesses, cooperatives and suppliers of Bac Giang province in completing procedures and documents to bring lychee and other key agricultural products into the distribution system of Central Retail, including GO! Supermarket. Accordingly, the most central area will be arranged so that people can recognize Bac Giang lychee. It is known that lychee of Hong Xuan Agricultural Production and General Service Cooperative (Chu town) has achieved 5-star OCOP standards, the only product to achieve this criterion in the province so far. According to the representative of the cooperative, on the first day the product was brought to supermarkets in some southern provinces, it attracted many customers and was consumed smoothly.
Improve quality
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, with the efforts of all levels, sectors, localities and entities, up to now, the whole province has 419 OCOP products evaluated and classified as 3 stars or higher. Among them, Luc Ngan litchi is a 5-star OCOP product. This result makes Bac Giang one of the provinces with many OCOP products in the Northern mountainous region and the whole country.
The products recognized as OCOP are basically typical, maximizing the advantages and potentials of each locality such as: Luc Ngan litchi, Phuc Hoa early litchi, Chu noodles, Yen The hill chicken, Luc Ngan orange, ...; have full records and documents on product quality and origin; many products apply advanced production processes such as: VietGAP, Global GAP, HACCP ...

Some of the province's strong agricultural products and OCOP products are capable of meeting large production requirements and have been directly exported to demanding markets such as: Products of VIFOCO Import-Export Joint Stock Company exported to the Korean market; products of Global Food Import-Export Joint Stock Company exported to the EU market; Binh Minh agricultural cakes of Binh Minh Cooperative exported to the Korean market; especially Luc Ngan litchi and Phuc Hoa early litchi products have been exported to markets with high quality requirements such as the United States, EU, Japan, Australia, etc. This is the driving force to encourage and promote other agricultural products and OCOP products of the province to continue to reach out to domestic and international markets.

However, the product owners themselves also need to constantly improve the quality of their goods. A representative of the Yen Dung Clean Vegetable Cooperative informed that when bringing products to supermarkets, in addition to ensuring clear and transparent traceability of origin, they must also meet strict standards on food hygiene and safety and daily quantity of goods. Therefore, based on the agreement with the supermarkets, the unit builds a tight production plan, strictly controls the production process from seeds, fertilizers, irrigation water, harvesting... Thanks to synchronous solutions, currently, in addition to ensuring the source of goods for supermarkets in Bac Giang, the cooperative also supplies to a number of large commercial centers in Hanoi .
To continue supporting agricultural products and OCOP products of the province to participate in linkage chains, expand consumption markets, and be distributed in supermarkets and high-end markets, in addition to improving product quality, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to connect the consumption of OCOP products and agricultural products to modern distribution systems and agricultural wholesale markets; proactively and closely coordinate with the competent agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, ambassadors, trade counselors, and Vietnamese trade offices in other countries to seek, expand and diversify markets; coordinate with the competent agencies of border provinces to remove difficulties in the circulation and export of agricultural products at border gates; increase the invitation of enterprises to join production linkages and product consumption for farmers; guide and support enterprises, cooperatives, and production households interested in diversifying designs, packaging, and applying technology to trace the origin of products to meet the needs of consumption in domestic and foreign supply chains.
Along with the above solution is to strengthen propaganda and promotion of OCOP products, agricultural products of the province through communication channels; build tourism products, tours, experiential tourism routes, eco-tourism... to not only introduce the tourism potential of the province but also promote on-site, spread the value and quality of agricultural products of the province to the community, domestic and foreign tourists; mobilize overseas Vietnamese to participate in introducing, consuming products and developing distribution channels for Vietnamese goods abroad.
