At the forum, many passionate opinions were shared, clearly reflecting the key role of the press in building and developing cultural industries. In the current digital age, the press is not only a simple means of communication but also holds a special position in the value chain of the cultural industry.

The press directly participates in the content creation process, contributing to spreading traditional and modern cultural values, shaping aesthetic tastes, social awareness and promoting sustainable cultural development.

Sharing at the dialogue session between the press, businesses and managers within the framework of the Forum, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized that we are proud of the cultural depth and creativity of the Vietnamese people.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh spoke at the forum.

The Deputy Minister said that recently, Party and State leaders have affirmed the role of culture and cultural industry in particular in the country's sustainable development.

"We hope that the positive phenomena in the development of the cultural industry in recent times will increase and receive support not only from the domestic public but also internationally," said Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said that new cultural products and initiatives are all "born" from the foundation of traditional national values, along with new impacts of the digital environment and international integration.

Public recognition in recent times has confirmed that suitable products will have vitality. Therefore, we should not hesitate before new products, but must have a screening process to choose suitable or unsuitable values. The press and media must contribute to shaping and improving the level of public enjoyment.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh shared about the role of the press in the development of the cultural industry.

With the view that "each editor-in-chief must be a culturalist", the Deputy Minister believes that each editorial office must be a "cultural house" and at the same time a "digital transformation house" to promote creative spaces, new creative people and produce products that we can confidently introduce to the public at home and abroad.

Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh also emphasized that in order to have a cultural press environment and each newspaper has its own place, it is necessary to do well in three issues: quality of articles, quality of writing; digital transformation and implementation methods; change and raise public awareness.

Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh shared at the forum.

According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association , there was a long period of time when the press focused a lot of time on socio-economic issues and devoted little space to culture, or the cultural content was not attractive enough, not in-depth. Meanwhile, the level of interest in culture has been increasing in recent times.

Emphasizing the important role of culture, Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that "culture is the factor that nourishes the Vietnamese soul", especially since the cultural field is very large, press agencies need to devote adequate space to culture.

"Press leaders need to consider dedicating more space and time to culture. If today they spend 20%, consider whether it can be increased to 25-30%. At the same time, they need to invest more in content and quality, not just reflecting negative issues," said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.

In addition, according to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, press agencies that are creating press products must constantly innovate. Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation has emphasized the element of innovation. Therefore, press agencies need to constantly innovate and seek new methods to maintain their reputation and guide and lead society.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City Tran Thi Hoang Mai

Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong city, emphasized that the press is an indispensable part in promoting the local cultural industry.

The city has actively ordered the production of television, radio and Internet programs with content that vividly reflects the cultural life, people and tourism of Hai Phong.

In addition, projects such as "Hai Phong Television Stage", propaganda about the value of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago, press competitions, and tourism promotion communication programs have also been promoted and received widespread public attention.

The press's cooperation with cultural industries has contributed to orienting the consumption of cultural products and raising public awareness about preserving and promoting national cultural heritage.

Press agencies are places to honor artistic creations and innovative initiatives, promptly reflect challenges and difficulties, and propose appropriate solutions so that culture truly becomes a solid spiritual foundation of society.

Especially, in the context of deep international integration, taking advantage of the power of press media to promote cultural values and build national brands is the right direction.

Typical cultural products such as music, cinema, fashion, cuisine, performing arts... can become a large source of revenue, contributing to GDP if communicated systematically and effectively.
