Along with that are a series of advantages in natural and cultural resources, opening up many breakthrough development opportunities for the tourism industry.
In particular, the city’s coastline is now 217km long – more than doubled, stretching across many beautiful, pristine sea areas, connecting to islands, primeval forests and the world biosphere reserve of Cu Lao Cham. Developing tourism on heritage foundation
Based on the available potential and current development practices, Da Nang City has built a roadmap with key solutions to develop high-quality tourism, harmoniously combining with the work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage and historical traditions. The key solutions identified include:
Firstly, regarding planning, reviewing and adjusting plans, projects and schemes according to the space and potential of the new city after the merger, while determining the orientation for developing high-quality tourism and services associated with preserving and promoting cultural and historical values as a foundation.
The second is infrastructure investment: investment in road and waterway traffic systems and lighting systems connecting to tourist destinations, rest stops, cultural-historical relics, cultural tourist destinations of ethnic groups; rural agricultural tourist destinations; investment in upgrading Chu Lai airport, expanding Da Nang airport, seaports, etc.
Third, develop tourism products associated with cultural heritage values, historical traditions, festivals, and traditional craft villages: Da Nang will organize traditional festivals, build craft village tours, "back to the source" tourism, and tourism associated with precious medicinal herbs such as Ngoc Linh Ginseng.
The green tourism ecosystem is also strongly developed with a focus on community tourism, rural agricultural tourism, associated with environmental protection and enhancing the role of indigenous people.
The city focuses on developing the brand “One green destination – 3 world-class experiences” in key heritage areas such as Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Cu Lao Cham Biosphere Reserve, and effectively exploiting the “Central Heritage Road” tourism route.

Propose some mechanisms and policies to attract investors to develop the cultural industry and entertainment services to support the tourism industry. Create an environment, link and unlock resources, provide investment incentives, and encourage businesses and people through appropriate policies.
Fourth, continue to effectively preserve and promote the values of cultural heritage and historical traditions. Invest in restoring traditional cultural festivals and ethnic cultural festivals. Innovate methods of managing, protecting and promoting the values of cultural heritage and historical relics. Launch a movement for people and tourists to participate in protecting and preserving the values of cultural heritage and historical traditions. Mobilize social resources and international cooperation for conservation work.
Fifth, improve service quality and human resources: Da Nang is implementing the "Da Nang Tourism Culture" criteria set and expanding the "Green Tourism Criteria" throughout the area.
Hiring consultants to develop cultural-ecological-community tourism is also being promoted. At the same time, the city is strengthening vocational training and skills development, attracting high-quality human resources and international experts.
In particular, propaganda work to raise awareness of heritage conservation will be integrated into cultural, tourism and mass media activities to spread widely in the community.
