The art exhibition "Flow" brings together 56 authors with 71 works. The authors are all former students of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education. Each author brings a unique emotional nuance, expressing their style and personal perspective on life and art. Although they cannot fully represent all generations, these are typical faces, representing the student courses of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education.
Through a century of journey (1925-2025), Vietnam University of Fine Arts is proud to be the cradle that has trained many generations of painters, sculptors, researchers and art critics - typical faces who have contributed to shaping and elevating modern Vietnamese fine arts.

Originating from the Indochina College of Fine Arts (1925-1945), the school was built on the foundation of a Western pedagogical model that opened up the artistic thinking and awakened the creative potential of the first generation of Vietnamese artists, helping them to become masters in painting and sculpture.
Entering the period after 1945, amidst the arduous war and resistance, the School continued to affirm its pioneering role in the career of fine arts education , training many talented artists, making an important contribution to the struggle for independence and national reunification.

Painter Chu Anh Phuong, former Head of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education, representing the faculty's teachers and students, expressed his pride and gratitude for studying and growing up at a school with a rich tradition - the Indochina College of Fine Arts, now the Vietnam University of Fine Arts - the cradle that has produced many talented painters, sculptors, and art critics, representing the country's Fine Arts.
Inherited, nurtured and developed from the school's unceasing traditional source, from previous generations of teachers and lecturers, and the tireless creative spirit of the next generations of students.
"Although social life has many changes and ups and downs through the flow of history, with a strong love and inseparable passion for painting, former students of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education have together organized a painting exhibition, aiming to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts," artist Chu Anh Phuong emphasized.

According to the former Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education, the artists are not only good at their profession but also have a rich social life, always keeping up with the breath of the times. Many have affirmed their names through awards at the National Fine Arts Exhibition, regional exhibitions, group exhibitions, solo exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as activities of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
Besides creating fine arts, many former pedagogical students now also take on the role of lecturers in universities, teachers, officers in the fields of culture, arts, and fine arts design, actively working and contributing to movements and the fine arts in general.

The exhibition "Flow" is a profound gratitude, a natural and proud continuation of the flame of passion and creativity. Looking back to the source, where intense emotions originate to form works imbued with love for life and art.
This is also an achievement towards the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam University of Fine Arts, contributing to affirming the role, position and quality of a leading prestigious Fine Arts training center in the country, making an important contribution to Vietnam's artistic life.
The exhibition also shows the strong bond between generations of artists - those who have left the classroom but still keep the passion and spirit of continuous learning. This clearly reflects the role of an art education environment that not only imparts professional knowledge but also nurtures creative thinking, individuality, and community awareness in each learner.

The gathering of many award-winning faces at home and abroad shows that the training quality of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education has been creating a solid foundation for a professional art career.
In addition, the fact that many former students now hold teaching, research and working roles in the field of culture and arts also contributes to spreading the value of the art school in social life.

Artist Nguyen Hoang Lan (graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts Education in 2007) emotionally shared: "I used to be shy and hesitant to share, but at this beloved school, I found peace. From then on, I had more foundations and connections. In my work in the art field after that and until now, I clearly feel the mark from my university days. The job gives me multi-dimensional interactions, I teach children, especially children with special needs, and I also receive a lot of positive energy from them. I am grateful for the school, teachers, as well as the flow later on."
"Flow" is therefore also a metaphor for the continuous transition between tradition and modernity, between past and present, so that each artist brings their own personal material, converging on a main stream of love for art, for school and for life, from which they continue to develop with their own creative energy, inheritance and the unceasing desire to contribute of many generations of artists. The exhibition lasts until August 10.
