Number of visitors to Hue in the first 7 months of 2025 exceeds 2024

In the first 7 months of 2025, Hue City recorded the number of tourists to the locality exceeding the total number of visitors in 2024.

According to the Hue City People's Committee, tourism activities in the city have seen significant improvements since the beginning of the year. The unique cultural services and festivals, reflecting the distinctive characteristics and cultural identity of Hue, organized within the framework of the National Tourism Year, have created highlights, stimulated demand, and attracted domestic and international tourists.

In July, the number of visitors to Hue City was estimated at 708,800, an increase of 7.2% compared to the previous month and an increase of 80.3% compared to the same period last year. Of these, international visitors were estimated at 99,600, an increase of 51.8%; and domestic visitors at 609,200, an increase of 86.1%. Tourism revenue was estimated at 1,247 billion VND, an increase of 6.4% compared to the previous month and an increase of 53.5% compared to the same period last year.

From the beginning of the year until now, the number of tourists visiting Hue City is estimated at over 4 million, an increase of 71.2% compared to the same period last year; of which, international tourists are estimated at over 1.2 million, an increase of 41.4%; tourism revenue is estimated at 7,455 billion VND, an increase of 55.9% compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, the attractions within the Hue Imperial Citadel Complex received over 2.1 million visitors, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year; of which 774,400 were international visitors, a 5.3% increase; and 1.3 million were domestic visitors, a 39.8% increase. Total revenue from ticket sales reached over 317 billion VND, a 21.9% increase.

Thus, in just the first 7 months of 2025, the number of tourists visiting Hue City has exceeded 3.9 million in 2024. This is a remarkable figure, setting a goal for the locality to achieve its target of welcoming approximately 4.8 - 5 million tourists in 2025; of which international tourists will account for about 38 - 40% of the total; and total tourism revenue will reach approximately 10,800 - 11,200 billion VND.

According to the Hue City People's Committee, from now until the end of the year, the locality will continue to successfully organize festivals, cultural and tourism activities within the framework of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 to create highlights for introducing and promoting Hue City as a tourist destination.
