Coast Guard Region 3 Command: A bright spot in the emulation movement to win

In line with the assigned political tasks, in recent times, emulation, reward work and the emulation movement to win (TĐQT) at the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 have been deployed comprehensively, synchronously, with focus and key points with the motto "Taking the completed results as a measure". From the movement, many effective models and creative ways of doing things have been replicated, contributing to consolidating the people's hearts, building a strong and comprehensive unit, and successfully completing all assigned tasks.

One day in early August, in Phuoc Thang ward (Ho Chi Minh City), the urgent atmosphere of fishermen preparing to go to sea was even more exciting when they welcomed a working delegation from the Coast Guard Region 3 Command led by Colonel Le Van Tu - Political Commissar to visit, encourage and give gifts. This is one of the practical activities within the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", which has been effectively organized by the unit in coastal localities for many years. The gifts, although not large, being the national flag and essential necessities, contain deep sentiments, adding confidence and motivation for fishermen to go to sea. "We hope that you will go to sea safely, fish effectively, and strictly comply with regulations on combating illegal, unregulated (IUU) fishing; actively coordinate with the Coast Guard to protect sovereignty and security at sea" - Colonel Le Van Tu shared.

The program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" is one of the highlights in the international movement of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command. Deployed continuously and flexibly depending on each locality, the program not only aims at providing material support but also promotes legal propaganda, national defense education , and raises people's awareness of sea and island sovereignty.

Along with that, campaigns and movements such as: Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's soldiers", The army joins hands to build new countryside, the whole people unite to build cultural life... or the contest "I love the sea and islands of my homeland"... are deployed creatively, close to reality, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the Coast Guard soldiers in the hearts of the people, creating a solid people's heart position to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland from early on, from afar and right from the grassroots.

Promote emulation, build a strong and comprehensive unit

Deeply imbuing President Ho Chi Minh's teaching "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation" and closely following the direction and guidance of superior professional agencies, in recent times, agencies and units under the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 have proposed many policies and solutions to lead and direct emulation, reward and the emulation movement closely following the practical situation of the work tasks. In particular, the construction and replication of advanced models is one of the important contents, contributing to promoting the development of the emulation movement. The implementation process has been given due attention by the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units, with appropriate forms and methods; well implemented in all 4 stages: Discovery, training, summarization and replication of advanced models. From here, many good and creative models and methods have emerged, effectively applied in practice, promoting and encouraging other units to learn and follow.

The emulation contents are specified closely to the professional functions and tasks. Notable are the movements "Excellent training, strict discipline, mastery of weapons, technical equipment, absolute safety" and breakthrough contents such as "Basic, mastery, expertise in exploiting and using technical equipment"... Thereby, improving the quality of training, combat readiness, ability to master situations at sea and proficiency in using modern weapons and equipment.

Emulation is also an environment for cadres and soldiers to train themselves and reflect on themselves according to the ethical standards and qualities of revolutionary soldiers. Through regular review and evaluation, Party committees and commanders have promptly discovered and overcome shortcomings, promoted strengths, and created positive changes throughout the unit. Many collectives have achieved the title of "Victory Unit", many individuals have become advanced models, and have been commended and rewarded by all levels.
