During a journey exploring Vietnam, the four extreme points on the mainland are sacred locations favored by backpackers. Surely everyone would want to leave their footprints at the Lung Cu flagpole – the northernmost point located in the Dong Van Stone Plateau, Ha Giang; the westernmost point in Ta Mieu village, a highland commune in Muong Nha district, Dien Bien; the southernmost point, standing proudly against the waves, at Ca Mau Cape, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau; and the easternmost point, where the first sunrise of the nation is witnessed, located in Van Phong Bay, Khanh Hoa.
