Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan as spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of the Ministry's Office, will be the spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security from June 1.

On the afternoon of May 30, the Ministry of Public Security announced that Mr. Toan will replace his predecessor, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, as spokesperson.

The assignment of Mr. Toan as spokesperson is based on Article 3 of Decree 09/2017/ND-CP on speaking and providing information to the press by State administrative agencies.

Major General Toan, 47 years old, from Hai Phong , used to be a secretary for a deputy minister of public security.

In October 2019, he was appointed as Director of Bac Giang Provincial Police. At that time, he was the youngest provincial police director in the country. From January 20, he was transferred to the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security.
