On May 31, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang announced that the People's Committee of Da Nang City has agreed to the plan to organize the Vietnam - UK Football Festival 2025.
The festival is held from June 26 to 29 with the aim of promoting connections in tourism and sports, enriching tourism and sports products, contributing to boosting the economy and promoting the image of Da Nang city.
The highlight of this event is the friendly match between The Manchester Reds and Vietnam Stars on the evening of June 27 at Hoa Xuan Stadium with a capacity of about 17,000 people.
In particular, the list of English players is expected to be mainly "Red Devils" legends such as Paul Scholes (MU player from 1993-2013, 11 Premier League titles, 2 Champions Leagues), Ryan Giggs (MU player from 1990-2014), Michael Owen (MU player from 2009-2012, Golden Ball 2001).
In addition, there are expected to be many other players such as Dwight Yorke (MU player from 1998-2002), Kleberson (MU player from 2003-2005), Teddy Sheringham (MU player from 1997-2001)...
In addition to the classic match with the legends of the "Red Devils", the Vietnam - UK Football Festival 2025 will have a series of other activities such as a seminar on promoting investment and tourism between Vietnam and the UK, along with activities to share the potential for investment and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.
