In the context of increasingly popular AI competitions - from MIT Global AI Hackathon to regional events such as Vietnam AI Grand Challenge, FPT AI Open Hackathon is designed with the orientation of creating a space for practice and technology resonance, promoting the process of bringing AI into practical applications.
The program is part of FPT Startup Innovation 2025, creating a real-world environment where teams can test their technical capabilities and directly solve real-world problems with the support of FPT and NVIDIA experts, on an infrastructure and service platform fully sponsored by FPT AI Factory.
Unlike competitions focusing on academic research, FPT AI Open Hackathon targets three main groups of people: businesses that own AI projects that need to accelerate implementation into practice; technology startups that want to optimize their products, improve commercialization capabilities and scale up; AI engineers and researchers who want to develop their capacity through practical problems.

During the program, participating teams will work directly with a team of in-depth mentors from FPT and NVIDIA, who are experts with extensive experience in areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, model training and tuning, MLOps/LLMOps, Generative AI, inference API integration and NVIDIA NIM.
The program focuses on specific applications such as NLP, Computer Vision, Speech-to-Text, helping teams develop AI solutions that closely follow real market needs. In particular, teams will directly use services from the FPT AI Factory platform - a modern AI infrastructure center built according to NVIDIA's international standard architecture, integrating the new generation H100 Tensor Core GPU, allowing training and operating models at high performance.
FPTers are encouraged to participate to improve their professional skills and contribute to building a culture of innovation within the Group. This is also an opportunity for FPT units to connect and learn about AI solutions being developed.
The program is designed in stages:
- Hackathon Day 1 (June 17): Kick-off; Announcement of topics
- Workshop & Online Training (June 18-24): Technical instructions, model refinement
- Hackathon Day 2 (June 25): Training, solution development
- Hackathon Day 3 (June 26): Mentor review; Model testing
- Hackathon Day 4 (June 27): Demo, pitching; Announcement of results
FPT AI Open Hackathon takes place at a time when Vietnam is promoting digital transformation and developing AI technology. With an investment of 200 million USD in AI Factory, FPT identifies AI as a growth pillar in the next decade. Hackathon is an opportunity for FPT engineers to demonstrate their capabilities and learn about the latest technology trends, thereby contributing to improving the quality of the Group's services and products.
