The night before the thunderstorm
During a team-building trip to Co To Island (Quang Ninh province) with his company in early July, Tran Doan Hiep (28 years old, from Hanoi ) and a few colleagues went to Hong Van beach to photograph the Milky Way at dawn. Located 7 km from the center of Co To town, Hong Van, with its long sandy beach and calm waves, has long been an ideal destination for tourists visiting Co To Island. Having planned ahead, Hiep chose the time between 1 am and 2 am to take long-exposure photos of the entire coastline and sky. A light thunderstorm arose, but the sea remained calm, creating a unique scene. "I was amazed by the beauty before my eyes. The Milky Way, the blue sky, and the sea blended together like a painting," Hiep said. Later, a thunderstorm arrived, and the group quickly ran to find shelter.

3 times in Co To
During his trip to Co To Island, Hiep not only "hunted" for the Milky Way but also managed to capture the sunset and sunrise on the island. Besides Hong Van beach, he also visited Co To harbor, Mong Rong rocky beach, Co To Con island, and the central square of the special economic zone. The local authorities currently offer six tour routes to destinations including Co To Con, Lion Island, Carp Island, Seven Stars Island, Southeast Island, Thanh Lan Island, and Tran Island. These routes are designed to be diverse, catering to the needs of those wanting to explore nature, learn about the lives of fishermen, and experience pristine islands and beaches. In the future, the government aims to expand with more new tours, focusing on improving the quality and depth of tourism products. Alongside the development of tours, famous beaches are also being developed for various water sports activities such as kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, and snorkeling. "This is my third time visiting Co To, but perhaps the most special, because it's not simply a trip with colleagues, but a complete journey from idea to emotion," Hiep said.
