Co To is different at 2am

Returning to Co To for the third time, tourist Tran Doan Hiep (Hanoi) recorded a series of rare moments when Hong Van beach glowed under the stormy sky at dawn.

The Night Before the Storm

During a team building trip to Co To (Quang Ninh province) with his company in early July, Tran Doan Hiep (28 years old, from Hanoi ) and a few colleagues went to Hong Van beach to hunt for the Milky Way at dawn. 7 km from the center of Co To town, Hong Van with its long, calm sandy beach has long been an ideal destination for tourists when coming to Co To island. Having planned in advance, Hiep chose a time from 1 to 2 hours to take long exposure photos of the entire coastline and sky. A light storm arose, the sea was still calm, creating a strange scene. "I was amazed by the beauty before my eyes. The Milky Way, the blue sky and the sea blended together like a painting," Hiep said. Later, a thunderstorm came, and the whole group hurriedly ran to find shelter.

3 times in Co To

During his trip to Co To, Hiep not only "hunted" the Milky Way but also managed to capture the sunset and sunrise moments on the island. In addition to Hong Van beach, he also visited Co To port, Mong Rong rock beach, Co To con island and the central square of the special zone. The locality currently operates 6 sightseeing routes to the following destinations: Co To con, Hon Su Tu, Hon Ca Chep, Hon Bay Sao, Hon Dong Nam, Thanh Lan island and Tran island. The routes are designed in a diverse way, suitable for the needs of exploring nature, learning about the lives of fishermen and experiencing the pristine sea and islands. In the coming time, the government aims to expand many new tours, aiming to improve the quality and depth of tourism products. In parallel with developing sightseeing tours, famous beaches are also exploited for many water sports activities such as kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing and coral diving. "This is the third time I've been to Co To, but it's probably the most special, because it's not just a trip with colleagues, but a complete journey from ideas to emotions," Hiep said.
