Little-known tips for using your iPhone.

Millions of iPhone users are wasting time scrolling through tabs to find content, while Safari has had this feature for a long time.

If you've ever felt frustrated when you click on a link in Safari and are immediately kicked off the page you were reading, there's a simple workaround. Apple has built this feature into the iPhone, but placed it in a location most users never look for.

When a user is reading a long article and clicks on a reference link, Safari automatically redirects to a new page. This repetitive action is annoying for many, especially when they are researching a topic that requires accessing multiple sources simultaneously.

For easier use, users simply need to go to Settings, select Safari, scroll down to find the Tabs section. Tap Open link and switch from "In new tab" to "In background".

Once enabled, every time you press and hold a link and select "Open in new tab," that page will load in the background while you continue reading the current page. This allows you to open as many tabs as you like without interrupting your reading. When ready, users simply tap the icon with two overlapping squares to see all pending tabs.

Additionally, Apple has cleverly integrated a faster way to access settings. Instead of pressing and holding and navigating through the menu, users simply tap the link simultaneously with two fingers. A new tab will open in the background immediately.

This feature is especially useful when comparing products before buying. Users can simply open all options as background tabs, then browse through each tab instead of having to go back to the search results page.

Therefore, this useful feature is not new. Apple has integrated it for a long time but has never highlighted it in the settings. Most iPhone users are unaware of its existence until they stumble upon it or are pointed it out by someone.

Kaycee Hill, technology editor at Tom's Guide , commented that this is "a small change that quietly improves the everyday web browsing experience a great deal."
