After finishing the exam, he "guessed" his high score, Vung Tau male student got 3 10s, valedictorian nationwide

Thanks to his self-study awareness, Phan Quang Hien Vinh, Dinh Tien Hoang High School, Ba Ria - Vung Tau (old), achieved 3 scores of 10 in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

On the afternoon of July 16, we met valedictorian Phan Quang Hien Vinh when he went to Dinh Tien Hoang High School in Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Thang Tam Ward, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) to receive honors and awards from the school and the government.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, he got 30 points in block A00 (math - physics - chemistry), becoming one of the 9 valedictorians nationwide with perfect scores.

In a soft voice, Vinh confided that after finishing the exam, he graded himself and was sure he would get a 10 in chemistry and physics. He also graded himself a 10 in math, but he wasn't confident so he told his family it was around 9.5.

Without going to extra classes, the male student confided that to get the results he has today, he is very grateful to the teachers who have directly taught, supported, and provided documents and reference books for the past 3 years.

Talking about the "secret" to studying, he said that for physics and chemistry, you should learn the theory first and do exercises from easy to difficult. For math, you should learn the basics. Vinh plans to apply to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to become a teacher.

Sharing about his student, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tan - Principal of Dinh Tien Hoang High School - said that Hien Vinh is a typical example of self-study awareness. He remembers Vinh from the times the school reviewed for students, when going to test, he always saw Vinh sitting quietly in a corner of the room solving problems by himself.

Pitying the hard-working student, many teachers gave Vinh reference books and specialized school books for Vinh to study. Every time Vinh received a bonus from the school, he used it to buy reference books...

"Vinh is an excellent student, well-rounded in every subject. He not only studies well on his own but is also responsible for his class and always has a community spirit.

In all 3 years of studying at the school, I got above 9 points. In the competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, I got 9.6 points, in the top group," Mr. Tan added.
