A female student from Chuong My A High School said that although she wasn't close friends with Phong, she always had a positive impression of this academically excellent student. He was very smart, but always very careful and attentive to every detail.

For example, during class, teachers might give unexpected riddles, and while many other students would casually ask the teacher for clarification, Phong would always quickly write down the teacher's question on scratch paper, so he wouldn't have to ask again, and at the same time, he could think more quickly and accurately.
