According to initial information, earlier that morning, a container truck with license plate 50E-396.31 was traveling on the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway in the north-south direction. Upon reaching Km153 (the section passing through Bac Binh commune), the container truck rear-ended a truck with license plate 43H-175.70 that was traveling in the same direction.

After the collision, the container truck continued moving forward for a short distance before stopping. At the scene, the front of the container truck was damaged; the driver was seriously injured and trapped in the cabin. Two people in the truck also sustained minor injuries.

The truck was rear-ended.

Upon receiving the report, authorities quickly dispatched tow trucks to the scene to remove the two vehicles and rescue the drivers, taking them to the hospital for treatment.

The section of the highway from the Vinh Hao interchange to the Cho Lau interchange is temporarily closed. Traffic police officers from Highway Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) are present to handle the scene and regulate traffic .
