Lam Dong: Urgent evacuation of 6 households in D'ran commune due to landslide

On the afternoon of December 1, the People's Committee of D'ran commune (Lam Dong province) said it had urgently evacuated 6 households after a landslide occurred right at Don Duong bridge, village 1, D'Ran commune.

Mr. Dinh Viet Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of D'ran Commune, said that the area of ​​Don Duong Bridge that just collapsed was severely flooded at the end of November. On the morning of December 1, a landslide occurred at the same location, causing part of a house along the Da Nhim River to collapse.

After the incident, the People's Committee of D'ran commune mobilized forces to help 6 households evacuate to safety. Local authorities also set up fences and warning signs to prevent people from approaching the dangerous area.

Regarding the above landslide, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested D'ran commune to continue monitoring the developments of the incident. For cases of affected houses, the locality will conduct an assessment and propose immediate support plans.

Six households along the Da Nhim River in D'ran commune had to be evacuated to ensure safety.

As reported by SGGP, during the recent floods, D'ran commune was the most severely damaged locality in Lam Dong province with total estimated damage of about 440 billion VND. Of which, 17 houses collapsed, many areas showed signs of landslides. In the immediate future, the locality has provided 40 million VND/case of collapsed house.
