On the afternoon of December 3, the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee signed and issued a document conveying the direction of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee regarding the renovation of Le Loi Street.
Accordingly, the city approved Khang Dien Housing Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company to sponsor and directly implement the renovation of Le Loi Street, the section passing through Saigon Ward and Ben Thanh Ward, starting from December 5, 2025 and must be completed before December 30, 2025.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Saigon Ward, the People's Committee of Ben Thanh Ward and Khang Dien Company to organize the implementation of the entire renovation plan according to the proposed documents.
At the same time, the People's Committees of Saigon and Ben Thanh wards were assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, Department of Planning and Architecture, Department of Culture and Sports and the sponsor to obtain consensus from organizations and individuals who are owners of works on Le Loi Street on the facade design plan, ensuring the construction progress on December 5, 2025.
During the construction period, the Department of Culture and Sports will coordinate with relevant units to limit the organization of cultural and sports events on Le Loi Street to create favorable construction conditions.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department was assigned to direct functional forces to support the People's Committees of Saigon Ward, Ben Thanh Ward and relevant departments in the process of collecting public opinions, while ensuring security, order and traffic safety throughout the construction period.
The renovation of Le Loi Street is expected to contribute to beautifying the city center landscape, increasing tourism attraction and creating a new look for the gateway area to Ben Thanh market.
