Immediately after the opening ceremony was the discussion “People with disabilities and their rights to education ”.
The festival will take place with many activities from December 3 to 6. According to the organizers, the festival is expected to attract 500 disabled youths each day, with a total of about 3,000 participants, including parents, volunteers, businesses and social organizations.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Phuc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, said that the life of people with disabilities is only inconvenience, not misfortune. With the message "Against the waves but not against dreams", the festival aims to raise public awareness of people with disabilities; create opportunities for learning - development - integration for disabled youth; spread the spirit of sharing, respect for diversity and encourage the community to join together. Along with that, promote the role of organizations and businesses in activities to care for the disadvantaged.
“We hope that, together with the festival, we will continue to build a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities. Each person in the community joins hands to support people with disabilities in their own way, within their capabilities,” Mr. Hong Phuc shared.
