Leaders of COSCO SHIPPING Group visited and worked with Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC)

On May 30, 2025, in Hanoi - a high-ranking delegation of COSCO SHIPPING Group (China) led by Mr. Zhu Bixin - Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Group paid an official visit and worked with Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC). Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Le Anh Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, along with representatives of functional departments and member units.

The visit took place in the context of the economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China being constantly strengthened, especially in the fields of maritime, logistics and supply chain. This activity is part of a series of high-level contacts between the two groups to promote strategic connections, share development experiences and expand cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative and orientations for the development of seaports and maritime transport in the Asia -Pacific region.

At the meeting, the two sides openly and willingly exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in promoting seaport exploitation, cross-border logistics services, and enhancing experience and technology sharing in the supply chain.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Vietnam National Shipping Lines Le Anh Son highly appreciated the role and global influence of COSCO SHIPPING in the maritime industry, and affirmed that VIMC is always ready to expand cooperation with international strategic partners, aiming to build a modern, sustainable maritime logistics ecosystem and deeply integrate with the region.

On the side of COSCO SHIPPING Group, Mr. Zhu Bixin - Chairman expressed his impression of the dynamic development of Vietnam's maritime industry, especially the position and role of the Corporation, and wished to promote substantive cooperation with VIMC, a key enterprise in the field of maritime transport, seaports and logistics in Vietnam.

This working visit is expected to open up many opportunities for strategic cooperation between the two corporations, contributing to enhancing maritime and logistics connectivity between Vietnam and China.
