In particular, lychee growers in Bac Giang this year are extremely excited because the lychees are not only fruitful but also beautiful, with thick flesh, rich sweetness, and a very low failure rate.
Lychee gardens in Bac Giang are starting to come into season.
According to Mr. Dao Cong Hung, Chairman of Luc Ngan District People's Committee, the program aims to honor gardeners, promote the quintessence of agricultural production, especially Luc Ngan lychee - a famous specialty of Vietnam.
"Along with activities to promote lychee consumption, the locality continues to launch a summer tourism program with the motto "bringing the market to the garden", "welcoming guests home". Currently, businesses, cooperatives and gardeners are preparing the best conditions to be ready to welcome tourists. It is expected to welcome more than 100,000 visitors to Luc Ngan during this year's lychee season", Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung, Chairman of Luc Ngan District People's Committee added.
Visitors can pick fresh lychees in the garden.
As planned, the program will be held over two days, June 6-7, at the Muoi village cultural center, Giap Son commune. The opening ceremony will take place on the evening of June 6, and the next morning, a conference on lychee consumption promotion will take place.
Main activities include: Honoring outstanding farmers and organizations and individuals who have made positive contributions to promoting the lychee brand; signing cooperation agreements on lychee consumption; contests for people wearing lychee costumes (expanded); folk games such as joining hands to harvest lychee, contests on making dishes and drinks from lychee, fun activities with prizes; cultural exchanges and exhibitions of lychee cultural space with 10-15 booths displaying and introducing typical products of the district.
It is known that within the framework of the program, the locality will also focus on introducing the method of grafting and hybridizing lychee varieties; the lychee varieties currently grown in Luc Ngan. In addition, it will also guide tourists with useful agricultural knowledge, introduce the flavors of fruits and specialty products.
Gardeners said this year's lychee crop is good.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, a lychee grower in Muoi village, Giap Son commune, Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province, said that her family has grown more than 1 hectare of lychee this year. To have quality products, from the beginning of the season, people have focused on care and applied new techniques in agricultural cultivation such as drip irrigation, biological traps, limiting the use of chemicals, aiming for clean, safe and sustainable production.
"This year, the lychee crop is good, the quality of the lychee is relatively uniform, the appearance is beautiful, and there are more fruits than last year. The price of early lychee is currently fluctuating from 28,000 - 35,000 VND/kg, 4,000 - 6,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last year," Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang happily informed.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province currently has 37 licensed travel service businesses; 445 tourist accommodation service businesses, ensuring the needs of food and accommodation for tourists when coming to Bac Giang. Along with continuing to improve tourism infrastructure, the Department has recently coordinated to promote, advertise and advertise tourism; promote Bac Giang tourism on social networking sites.
