According to Deputy Minister Phan Tam, in the context of Digital Transformation that has been taking place strongly in Vietnam and around the world, the cultural sector cannot stand aside. However, unlike digital transformation in economic and technical fields, digital transformation in culture has its own unique characteristics, because culture is closely linked to intangible factors, historical depth, national identity and community memory.

Therefore, the Project on digital transformation in the cultural sector that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism must submit to the Prime Minister in December 2025 is not only an action plan, but also a long-term strategy and orientation, aiming to establish a basic reference system for digital transformation in the cultural sector, from thinking, awareness, vision, approach, to action and implementation model. This is the foundation for the entire cultural sector to unify the orientation and gradually realize digital transformation in a suitable, synchronous, effective and humane manner.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Workshop plays an important role in preparing the basis of awareness and practical input content for the process of drafting the Project.

"We expect the Workshop to help shorten the time and improve the quality of the Project development, because the delegates, experts and units present today will be the core force directly participating in contributing, developing, implementing and realizing the Project's contents in practice," the Deputy Minister expressed.
