BHG - Xin Man district is promoting local strengths, actively implementing many solutions to develop typical agricultural products associated with the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, contributing to promoting clean agricultural production, improving quality, building brands and creating sustainable livelihoods for people.
Xin Man Agricultural Production and Service Trade Cooperative is one of the entities with products registered for the OCOP classification competition in Xin Man district in 2025. The cooperative was established in 2021, operating in the fields of agricultural production, consumption, homestay accommodation services and tour organization. The cooperative is oriented to develop according to a new model, becoming a bridge between farmers and the market, contributing to increasing income for members. Mr. Nung Van Don, Director of the Cooperative, said: The cooperative currently has 7 members, focusing on Nung Gia homestay accommodation services, agricultural experience tourism and typical agricultural products. Of which, there are 3 products competing for OCOP classification: Xin Man red peanuts, red peanuts buried in ash and dried cardamom. The cooperative was established with the goal of supporting farmers in the product value chain such as packaging, improving the quality of cultivation, livestock, linking production and consumption, while promoting the role and interests of members.

Up to now, Xin Man district has organized the assessment, appraisal and classification of 7 typical products belonging to 4 subjects participating in the OCOP program in 2025. Of which, 3 products were re-recognized including: Quang Ha village community tourism (Quang Nguyen commune), Loc Tra natural and Tuan Bang Tra natural black tea (belonging to Tuan Bang Transport Trading Cooperative). 4 newly recognized products include: Sorghum broom (Tung Lam General Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative); Xin Man red peanuts, red peanuts buried in ash and dried cardamom (Xin Man Agricultural Production and Service Trade Cooperative). All are products from the highlands, produced according to clean, high-quality processes, with the application of science and technology in processing and packaging.
Vice Chairman of Xin Man District People's Committee Ngo Van Tang said: The OCOP program requires the synchronous participation of the entire political system. The evaluation work focuses on brands, packaging designs, labels, traceability, etc. The district's evaluation council also made many suggestions to help the subjects improve their products and increase their competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets. In the coming time, agencies, departments, branches, unions and People's Committees of communes and towns need to strengthen propaganda and raise awareness among people and businesses about the benefits of participating in the program.
With unique natural and cultural conditions, Xin Man has many advantages to develop typical agricultural products such as: medicinal herbs, tea, red peanuts, cardamom, temperate fruit trees, combined with livestock and community tourism. Currently, the whole district has 34 agricultural products recognized as OCOP, of which 1 product has achieved 4 stars. To enhance competitiveness, the locality is continuing to promote trade promotion activities, support subjects in perfecting products, building brands, improving designs... These are important factors to help OCOP products reach the market.
The OCOP program is creating an important driving force for agricultural and rural development in Xin Man. With synchronous participation, exploiting regional advantages to develop typical products is the right direction, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development and improving people's lives.
