Provincial People's Committee leaders listen to reports on site clearance for projects

STO - On the afternoon of June 5, at the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Vuong Quoc Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province held a meeting to listen to reports from units on the implementation of site clearance work to implement projects in the province. Also attending were leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities.

According to the report, Soc Trang province is currently carrying out compensation and site clearance for 28 projects in the districts of Chau Thanh, Ke Sach, My Tu, My Xuyen, Tran De, Cu Lao Dung, Vinh Chau town and Soc Trang city. Up to now, the People's Committees of the localities have accelerated the progress of site clearance, of which 16 projects have handed over 100% of the site to the construction unit, the remaining projects have achieved progress from 70 to 95%; currently, the units are continuing to promote propaganda and mobilization work so that people agree to hand over the site and receive support and compensation money...

At the meeting, local leaders and investors reported on difficulties in site clearance in the past time; at the same time, they expressed many opinions and recommendations for departments and branches to continue to support with mechanisms and legal measures to completely resolve difficulties and obstacles in site clearance.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Nam requested that the units summarize the difficulties and problems in a very specific manner so that there is a basis to urge and mobilize the entire local political system to pay attention to speeding up the progress and thoroughly resolving the work of site clearance and compensation and support for people in the projects. For cases with difficulties that need to request other support policies, a document must be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution. The remaining cases must thoroughly resolve the work of site clearance and compensation support according to the direction plan of the Provincial People's Committee leaders.
