Quang Ninh has added 4 more national intangible cultural heritage sites.
On June 3rd, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a decision announcing the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
In this list, Quang Ninh has 4 intangible cultural heritage items included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, including: Folk knowledge about the art of traditional costume making of the San Chi people (Mong Cai City, Binh Lieu District, Tien Yen District, Dam Ha District, Quang Ninh Province); Folk knowledge about the art of making and decorating costumes of the Dao Thanh Phan people (Ha Long City, Ba Che District, Tien Yen District, Binh Lieu District, Dam Ha District, Hai Ha District, Quang Ninh Province); Social customs and beliefs of the Harvest Festival of the San Chi people (Binh Lieu District, Ba Che District, Tien Yen District, Dam Ha District and Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province); Folk performance art of call-and-response singing in the coastal areas of Quang Ninh Province.
This decision also requires the Chairpersons of the People's Committees at all levels where intangible cultural heritage is included in the List to, within their duties and powers, implement state management in accordance with the law on cultural heritage.
Thus, to date, Quang Ninh has a total of 19 national intangible cultural heritage sites, affirming the cultural depth and unique identity of this land of heritage wonders, as well as the distinctive cultural values of its ethnic communities. This also serves as a basis for strengthening the preservation, promotion, and dissemination of these precious heritage values to the public, contributing to the promotion of heritage in conjunction with sustainable tourism development.
