From lotus ponds in tourist areas in Nha Trang to lotus fields interspersed with rice paddies in Ninh Hoa, many locals and tourists come to visit, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
At the Nha Trang Xua tourist area (Nam Nha Trang ward), a lotus pond covering approximately 1 hectare has become a popular attraction for tourists in early summer. The lotus pond is situated amidst a setting reminiscent of an old Vietnamese village, complete with wooden bridges, thatched huts, and rows of betel nut trees, creating a scene that is distinctly Vietnamese countryside.
Many tourists wear ao dai, the traditional Vietnamese dress, to take photos by the lotus pond from early morning or late afternoon. The gentle sunlight reflects on the water's surface, and the blooming lotus petals create a dreamy scene.
Nguyen Kim Anh (a tourist from Da Lat) said she was quite surprised to find such large and beautiful lotus ponds right in the middle of the coastal city.
"I thought Nha Trang was just about the beach, but I didn't expect it to have such a peaceful countryside setting and lotus ponds. The lotuses here are so poetic, they make for beautiful photos, and it's not as crowded as many other tourist destinations," Kim Anh shared.
According to a representative of the tourist area, the lotus season usually lasts from around May to July, with the most beautiful time being early morning when the flowers have just bloomed and the weather is still mild. On weekends, the number of visitors coming to admire and take photos by the lotus lake increases significantly.
