Like many other families in Trang Xa commune, Hoang Tien Dien's family's life mainly depends on a few fields of rice and small-scale livestock farming. In 2010, Dien bought a noodle making machine to serve his family and earn extra income.

After many years of working as a hired noodle miller, Mr. Dien realized that his hometown had delicious, sweet Bao Thai rice, so he decided to use it as raw material to produce noodles and dried vermicelli to sell to the people and traders in the area. The good news spread far and wide, and Mr. Dien's family's noodles and dried vermicelli products were ordered in increasingly large quantities by people in and outside the commune, and traders in and outside the province.

In 2021, with the support and encouragement of the local government, Mr. Hoang Tien Dien completed the procedures to establish a cooperative. "In addition to the charter capital of over 2 billion VND, the cooperative received a loan from the Provincial Cooperative Union from preferential capital to support production cooperatives of 500 million VND. From this capital, I invested in machinery and equipment such as: large capacity grinders, mixers, fiber presses, product drying rooms, packaging machines... with a maximum capacity of over 20 tons of products/month" - he shared.

Not only producing regular rice noodles and vermicelli from Bao Thai rice, Tien Dien Cooperative has researched and diversified products from safe agricultural products grown locally, such as: gac rice noodles, pumpkin rice noodles, brown rice noodles, five-color rice noodles... The ingredients of these products are all grown according to organic standards right in the locality.

Mr. Hoang Tien Dien said: Every year, the cooperative buys about 80-90 tons of Bao Thai rice from people inside and outside the commune to produce noodles and vermicelli. We are focusing on producing 5 more tons of white noodles to fill a container for export to Germany. Since the beginning of the year, the cooperative has produced about 20 tons of noodles and vermicelli to supply the market.

In addition to being sold at Aloha Supermarket, Hai Dang Rest Stop on Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Highway, many convenience stores in and outside the province, the cooperative's products are also available on e-commerce platforms.

The Cooperative's noodles and dry vermicelli products are produced using modern equipment and machinery (flour milling, grinding, automatic drying, etc.); 100% of input raw rice meets VietGAP certification.

In addition, the products are packaged with beautiful packaging, labels and QR codes for traceability, convenient for consumers.

Recounting the journey of the Cooperative's white noodles product being present in the German market, Mr. Hoang Tien Dien's eyes lit up with joy: A family in the commune bought White Noodles as a gift when visiting their daughter in Germany. After enjoying the delicious noodles of the Cooperative, this woman decided to bring the product to her family's convenience store and supply it to supermarkets and restaurants owned by Vietnamese people in Germany. Thanks to that, from 2022 to now, through an import-export enterprise in Hanoi, they have ordered me 3 containers of Tien Dien dry noodles (each container contains 12 tons of noodles) for sale.

On average, Tien Dien Cooperative produces and sells about 40 tons of dried vermicelli and dried pho each year. Revenue in 2024 is expected to reach over 1.7 billion VND, creating jobs for 6 local workers, with an average salary of about 7 million VND/person/month.

Mr. Nong Van Toan, Vice Chairman of Trang Xa Commune People's Committee, said: Tien Dien instant noodle and dry vermicelli cooperative has contributed to increasing the value of local agricultural products. Currently, the whole Vo Nhai district has 21 products certified with 3-4 star OCOP, of which Tien Dien cooperative alone has 2 3-star OCOP products.

Talking about future plans, Mr. Hoang Tien Dien shared: I am nurturing many ideas, which are to continue investing in more equipment, researching and developing new products, expanding the consumer market; investing in renovating the factory to expand production scale, meeting the increasing demands of customers...
