In recent years, Uc Son residential area, Huong Son town (Phu Binh) has had many positive changes in building a green - clean - beautiful environment. General environmental cleaning activities are carried out by the residential group on the third Sunday of every month.

In order to improve the quality of life of the people, the Party cell of Uc Son residential group identified environmental protection as a key task and included it in monthly resolutions for effective implementation. In particular, the head of the residential group and the front working committee, associations and unions play a core role in propagating, mobilizing and guiding people and members to participate in maintaining environmental hygiene.

In the Party cell meetings and hamlet meetings, the comrades in the Party cell directly propagated to Party members and people to raise awareness of environmental protection, associated with the implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life". At the same time, they guided the implementation of environmental criteria in the plan to build a civilized urban area deployed by the People's Committee of Huong Son town. In addition to direct propaganda, this content was also regularly broadcast on the loudspeaker system of the residential group.

In addition to propaganda, specific activities are also regularly deployed to create a green lifestyle in the community. On the third Sunday of every month, the Team Leader coordinates with the Front's working group to mobilize 100% of households to participate in general cleaning of the streets. People will sweep the streets, clear weeds, clear drains, and collect garbage.

In particular, the residential group also coordinated with the Uc Son pagoda's board of trustees to mobilize Buddhists and local residents to clean up the communal house, pagoda and village cultural house. The Front's working group also assigned members to be in charge of each residential area, mobilizing local residents to maintain regular cleaning activities at least once a week. This approach has helped local residents form the habit of regular environmental sanitation.

In addition, the Party cell also assigned specific tasks to associations and organizations in environmental protection. Specifically, the women's association is responsible for cleaning a 1,000m long road; actively propagating and guiding members to classify waste at source, and treating organic waste with IMO products. The veterans association is assigned to clean and take care of flowers and trees on a 320m long road.

Thanks to the synchronous solutions and the active participation of the entire population, the appearance of the Uc Son residential area has had clear changes. Along the roads in the group, the images of littering, stagnant water, and widespread livestock waste... are no longer there. Instead, there are clean concrete roads, with flower beds and rows of trees planted and cared for by the people on both sides of the road. Up to now, 100% of households in the hamlet have classified waste at the source; 100% of the roads are always clean and beautiful; 100% of livestock households have Biogas tanks...

Mr. Duong Dinh Hoa, deputy secretary of the Party cell and head of the Uc Son residential group, said: The positive results in environmental protection work have helped the residential group achieve the title of Cultural Residential Group for many consecutive years. In particular, in 2024, the group was awarded the title of Cultural Residential Group for 5 consecutive years.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Party cell and organizations of the Uc Son residential group will continue to improve the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilize people to participate in environmental protection. The goal is to improve the quality of environmental criteria in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in residential areas.
