Ministry of Science and Technology awarded appointment decisions to leaders of 6 units

On the afternoon of June 6, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) held a ceremony to announce and award decisions on personnel work to 6 units. Comrade Bui The Duy, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Standing Committee, Deputy Minister of MOST chaired the ceremony.

Overview of the Ceremony.

At the announcement and decision awarding ceremony, the representative of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the appointment decisions of the Minister of Science and Technology , including:

Appoint Mr. Ha Minh Hiep, Acting Chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality, to hold the position of Chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality.

Deputy Minister Bui The Duy presented the decision and flowers to Mr. Ha Minh Hiep.

Mobilize and appoint Mr. Tran Quang Hung, Acting Director of the Department of Information Security to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Intellectual Property.

Mobilize and appoint Mr. Do Dinh Ro, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office.

Assign the task to Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Information and Communication Magazine to be in charge of and operate Information and Communication Magazine.

On behalf of the assigned officers, speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha Minh Hiep expressed his honor to be trusted and assigned important responsibilities at the unit by the Party Committee Standing Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology; at the same time, he committed to working with the leaders of the unit and all officers to carry out the key tasks of the Committee in 2025, especially the tasks assigned by the Minister of Science and Technology at the working session with the Committee on March 28, 2025.

Mr. Ha Minh Hiep also emphasized 5 commitments to action: Innovation in management thinking; Resolute direction; Transparent and effective implementation; Responsible supervision; Comprehensive connection.

Mr. Ha Minh Hiep gave a speech accepting his assignment at the Ceremony.

In a solemn atmosphere, the appointed officials expressed their gratitude and pledged to strive to fulfill their duties well in their new positions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui The Duy congratulated the 6 officials who received the decision and hoped that the officials would promote their capacity and strengths to complete the assigned tasks and duties.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the appointment of leaders for units aims to meet two important requirements: arranging the organization for the merged units, transferring based on the practical situation and urgent tasks of the units in implementing the quartet of Resolutions 57, 66, 68 and 69; in which the emphasis is on appointing officials with qualifications in science and technology, legal institutions, digital transformation... for the units.

Deputy Minister Bui The Duy also conveyed the request of Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung that all activities of units must aim for the efficiency of the unit and the whole industry.

On behalf of the Ministry's leadership, the Deputy Minister sent congratulations and hopes that the officials taking on this assignment will uphold their sense of responsibility, constantly strive, unite, and be creative to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the breakthrough goal of developing science, technology and innovation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo .
