Saigontourist Group honored to receive many awards at ASEAN Economic Forum 2025

At the ASEAN Economic Forum 2025 held in Singapore on August 16, Saigontourist Group was honored to receive a set of 4 prestigious awards.

The ASEAN Economic Forum 2025, with the theme "ASEAN Economic Integration in the Age of Growth", is an important event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam's accession to ASEAN (July 28, 1995 - July 28, 2025). Within the framework of the forum, the program honors pioneering businesses and entrepreneurs who promote equal business opportunities and contribute to the sustainable development of the region. Saigontourist Group was honored with two "Top 10 ASEAN Green Growth Brands 2025" Awards for Saigontourist Group and SECC, recognizing their great contributions to building a sustainable ASEAN community.

Along with the award for the Saigontourist Group brand, two senior leaders of Saigontourist Group, Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Chairman of the Board of Members of Saigontourist Group and Mr. Truong Duc Hung - General Director of Saigontourist Group were honored in the category of "ASEAN Exceptional Leaders 2025" (ASEAN Exceptional Leaders Award). This is a recognition of the achievements and contributions of the two leaders to the strong development of Saigontourist Group - 50 years of growing with the country.

These awards are a recognition of the outstanding achievements and strategic vision of the Board of Directors, contributing to the remarkable development of Saigontourist Group. In the field of conferences, seminars and exhibitions (MICE), Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) focuses on optimizing operations, especially the air conditioning system - one of the largest energy consumers - to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. At the same time, the water supply and drainage system is improved in the direction of saving and reusing, contributing to reducing pressure on water resources. The company has also effectively implemented waste classification at the source, contributing to building an environmentally friendly waste management process. Not only focusing on infrastructure, SECC also encourages event organizers, exhibitions and partners to move towards green solutions - from booth design and construction to event operation - to spread the spirit of sustainable development throughout the entire operating ecosystem.

Saigontourist Group is also the first unit operating in the Vietnamese tourism industry to implement the environmental management process according to the international standard ISO 14001 to develop green and sustainable tourism services. Since August 2006, the Saigontourist Green Club has been established, creating favorable conditions for units in the entire system to meet and discuss environmental issues, support access to information on legal regulations and solutions to build and improve the environmental management system.
