Attending the meeting, on behalf of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ), were Mr. Tran Tuan Linh – Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Deputy General Director; Mr. Tran Van Giang - Head of Human Resources, Salary and Bonus Department of the Board of Directors; Mr. Tran Sy Giang - Head of the General Affairs Department of the Board of Directors; Mr. Do Giang - Head of the Strategy and Investment Department of the Board of Directors; Mr. Do Hoang Ha - Head of Business Policy & Wholesale Department; and Mr. Le Huy Hiep - Head of the Audit Department.
Representing Petrolimex Saigon were Mr. Vo Van Tan – Chairman of the Company, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Director of the Company, and other members of the Board of Directors.
On the part of the member units, the attendees included the Chairmen, Directors, and Deputy Directors of the Long An , Tay Ninh, Song Be, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Dong Nai Petroleum Companies.
After listening to the statements of several leaders of member petroleum companies, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex, Pham Van Thanh, acknowledged and directed a number of specific contents regarding the policy, direction, and roadmap for completing the merger of member petroleum companies.
Petrolimex Chairman Pham Van Thanh affirmed that the merger of key units is a policy to streamline and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the operational apparatus, which has been agreed upon in numerous meetings of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Group, and is a necessary step in accordance with the general policy of the Party and the State.
The restructuring must be carried out cautiously; after the merger, the streamlined organization must ensure that the units operate effectively and efficiently, without affecting production and business plans, and must improve productivity and expand market share.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group also highlighted the role and responsibility of the unit heads in proactively working with local state management agencies to complete legal procedures and comply with the law in all activities. Regarding the implementation roadmap, it will be completed by October 1, 2025, and all newly merged units will officially begin operations.
In particular, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex, Pham Van Thanh, emphasized that the newly restructured units must research and develop superior policies and mechanisms to ensure income for employees, as well as strengthen communication with employees so that everyone understands and supports the Group, working together to build a more efficient Petrolimex, especially as the country enters a new era of sustainable development and focuses on green transition.
