At the beginning of the conference, the Conference Organizing Committee announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee approving the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary, and the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Corporation for the 2025-2030 term; approving the Inspection Committee, the Chairman, and the Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Corporation for the 2025-2030 term. Next, the Conference successively approved important documents: Working regulations of the Executive Committee; Work program for the entire term; Inspection and supervision program for the entire term; Action program to implement the Resolution of the 7th Party Congress of the Corporation; Regulations on the leadership relationship between the Party Committee - Board of Directors - Executive Board and organizations.
The preliminary report for the first 7 months of the year presented by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Corporation Doan Thi Thu Huong showed that VIMC achieved 11.9 million tons of maritime transport output, 91.3 million tons of cargo throughput, consolidated revenue of VND 10,729 billion, consolidated profit of VND 1,519 billion. The targets reached 50-58% of the yearly plan, requiring outstanding efforts in the remaining time. Party building work achieved many outstanding results: successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels, perfecting the leadership apparatus, admitting 23 new Party members, awarding Party badges to qualified comrades, while maintaining social security activities and taking care of workers' lives.
In the task briefing, Comrade Nguyen Canh Tinh - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIMC emphasized: “2025 is a pivotal year, of decisive significance for the entire term. Each Party Committee, Party organization, and unit must clearly define goals and specific action plans; be persistent, resolute, closely follow reality, promptly remove difficulties, ensuring that VIMC achieves and exceeds the double-digit growth target.” He analyzed the international market context, the impact of global economic and political fluctuations, pointed out the difficulties of each field of maritime transport, seaports, and logistics, thereby requiring units to promote initiative, creativity, and maximize the exploitation of resources.
The Secretary proposed 9 key groups of solutions, including: closely following market developments to flexibly adjust plans; promoting investment in infrastructure and technology; improving the efficiency of fleet and port system exploitation; strictly managing costs; developing high-quality human resources; promoting comprehensive digital transformation; enhancing international cooperation; proactively responding to fluctuations; and ensuring sustainable development. Each group of solutions is associated with specific responsibilities of each unit, with clear milestones and targets.
Delegates attending the conference focused on discussions, contributed many insightful opinions, and added initiatives to the direction for the last 5 months of the year. Many proposals focused on removing capital difficulties, promoting the progress of investment projects, expanding the transportation market, developing full-package logistics services, and promoting the application of information technology. The conference also agreed to strengthen inspection and supervision, clearly assign responsibilities to each member of the Executive Committee, ensure that all tasks have a person in charge, a specific completion time, and transparent results assessment sanctions.
The conference ended in an atmosphere of solidarity and unity, demonstrating the high political determination of the entire Party Committee in successfully implementing the Resolution of the 7th Congress, making VIMC a regional-scale maritime corporation, a reliable partner in the international market, contributing to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese maritime industry and the country's economy.
