On the morning of August 16, at the National Military Training Center 4 (Mieu Mon, Hanoi), the 4th general training session took place to prepare for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (task A80). General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense ; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense, were present to inspect the general training session.
Speaking at the training session, General Phan Van Giang praised and acknowledged the efforts of the forces participating in the parade, especially the officers and soldiers who had very difficult circumstances but had overcome and put aside personal matters to participate in the meaningful mission.
"I really admire the comrades who participated in all three parades, from May 7, 2024 to present. Many comrades participated in both parades, in some cases both husband and wife participated in the parade. This is something very valuable in terms of the responsibility of each person, each individual, each comrade to the collective, to the Fatherland, to the country, especially to the People's Armed Forces. 40 years ago, I, like you comrades, had the opportunity to step foot on Ba Dinh Square. Time can never be turned back, but memories will stay with us forever," General Phan Van Giang shared.
General Phan Van Giang and leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security presented gifts to encourage the groups participating in the comprehensive training.

The 4th general training session had the participation of more than 16,300 officers and soldiers of the People's Army and People's Police with many types of modern weapons and equipment.
The comprehensive training test consists of two parts: Performing Party and State rituals and ceremonies and performing military parades.
The highlight of this morning’s training session was the appearance of the female soldiers. Amidst the 30-minute heavy rain, their radiant faces still shone brightly in the neat rows.
A fresh face, confident eyes combined with decisive, rhythmic steps created a beautiful image, both soft and exuding iron discipline.

The People's Army has 7 female groups participating: Military Musicians, Medical Officers, Vietnam Peacekeepers , Special Forces, Information Soldiers, Vietnam Ethnic Militia and Southern Guerrillas.
Each block has its own historical and symbolic significance, reflecting the nation’s long tradition of indomitable struggle. In particular, the Southern Female Commando and Guerrilla Block recreates the image of the steadfastness and intelligence of the force that once operated secretly in enemy territory, contributing to the nation’s glorious victory.

The female medical soldiers strode in their striking white and green camouflage uniforms, blending two shades: the purity of the white blouse and the enduring strength of the soldier's uniform.

The two female blocks of the People's Public Security force also made a strong impression.
If the special forces demonstrate bravery, eliteness and decisiveness, the Traffic Police force brings a close, friendly image, closely associated with the daily lives of the people.
Not only demonstrating precise marching techniques, the female soldiers also convey a message about the harmony between tradition and modernity, between the charm of Vietnamese women and the resilient and disciplined spirit of the armed forces.
The soldiers of the Special Police force strode proudly, each movement decisive and strong, reflecting their steely fortitude and fighting spirit.
As planned, the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) will take place solemnly at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi) on the morning of September 2. The event will be attended by tens of thousands of officers and soldiers of the People's Armed Forces, along with many representatives of all walks of life, intellectuals, workers, farmers, youth, women, and children.
It is expected that after passing through the stage at Ba Dinh Square, the parade groups will split into 7 directions, passing through the central streets of Hanoi.
The preliminary rehearsal of the parade will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 27 at Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of Hanoi (reserve date is August 28). Next, the State-level rehearsal – also the last practice before the ceremony – will be held at 6:30 a.m. on August 30 (reserve date is August 31).
