The meeting program between Ho Chi Minh City and Busan businesses attracted nearly 200 businesses from both countries to participate.
With new steps in friendly cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Busan City, Vietnamese enterprises consider this a "golden time" to improve competitiveness and reach out to the global market, expecting that cooperation will create a breakthrough in technology and management.
Open policies, digital infrastructure and innovation are considered as the 'highway' for Vietnamese enterprises to shorten the gap in the international market. In particular, small and medium enterprises, if properly oriented, will be a launching pad for them to rise up and directly contribute to national competitiveness.
Mr. Bae Soohyun - Senior Researcher, Busan Development Institute, Korea said: "Korea's strong development today stems from the leading role of large corporations. Therefore, I think small and medium enterprises in Vietnam must first clearly define their direction, know what they need, and thereby effectively utilize the support of large enterprises and the Government to grow."
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha said that Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with Busan to organize B2B business connection programs for each industry group, focusing on areas with the potential for fast and effective cooperation, encouraging Korean businesses to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in production projects in industrial parks, export processing zones, innovation centers, and logistics infrastructure.
Within the framework of the program, the parties signed many important cooperation agreements to promote cooperation in the field of industrial transformation and smart manufacturing development, research and development (R&D), application and commercialization of new technologies, and development of social housing projects associated with the model of urban service industrial parks. With strategic orientation and the initiative of enterprises, the Vietnam-Korea cooperation relationship promises to open a new journey, bringing Vietnamese enterprises to the global economic map.
