Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the match and encouraged the Vietnam Women's Football Team.

Despite playing with great effort and resilience, the Vietnamese Women's Team had to accept a 1-2 defeat to Australia in the semi-final of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship. Notably, the match was honored to be attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On the evening of August 16, at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ), the semi-final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship between the Vietnam Women's Team and the Australian Women's Team was honored to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to watch.

Immediately after the final whistle, the Prime Minister went directly to the field to encourage the Vietnam National Women's Football Team.

The Prime Minister praised and acknowledged the players' efforts and dedication to compete against a highly rated opponent. The Prime Minister especially instructed the entire team to take care of their health and continue to focus on preparing well for the third-place match against the Thai women's team, at 4:00 p.m. on August 19, 2025. The Prime Minister expressed his belief that the players will be determined to bring joy to fans nationwide.
