LION championship 25: Two championship belts find their owners

On the evening of August 16 at Cam Ranh Square (Khanh Hoa), the LION championship 25 (LC 25) event returned with the focus being on 2 championship matches.

In the 60kg title match, the two candidates Tran Ngoc Luong and Le Van Tuan gave fans an eye-catching match, which exploded right from the first round. As the defending champion, Le Van Tuan took the initiative with punching and kicking combinations, causing Tran Ngoc Luong many difficulties in the early stages of the match.

In the second round, Tran Ngoc Luong, with his signature Jujitsu moves, quickly overpowered Le Van Tuan, forcing him to fight on the floor.

The two fighters brought their best to the match.

The decisive situation happened in round 3 when Tran Ngoc Luong continuously used low kicks to attack Le Van Tuan's left leg. The decisive leg kick from Ngoc Luong made Van Tuan hold his leg in pain, signal to the referee and a series of follow-up punches from Ngoc Luong were just a "procedure" to end the match, winning the 60kg championship belt.

In the second highlight match, Nguyen Vu Quynh Hoa and Lo Thi Phung continued to give fans a match that was fought every second to find the champion. This 52kg championship match went against the expectations of many fans when Lo Thi Phung continuously tried to find a way to resolve the match with takedowns and clinch opportunities.

However, Nguyen Vu Quynh Hoa's skillful moves and defense helped her continuously escape Lo Thi Phung's attacks. Facing Lo Thi Phung's chases and heavy backhands, Quynh Hoa maintained a counterattacking stance to win by consensus after 5 rounds, thereby winning the women's 52kg championship belt.

Excellent grappling ability was the factor that helped Nguyen Vu Quynh Hoa win the title match against Lo Thi Phung in the women's 52kg weight class. With this victory, the 2003-born fighter became the second person from The Champ MMA to hold the title, after Nghiem Van Y in the men's 65kg weight class.

Not only the two title matches, the arena at Cam Ranh Square was also extremely "hot" and attractive with the rematches in the MMA Duo format between the Kickboxing master duo: Nguyen Xuan Phuong and Nguyen Ngoc Thuc with members of the Raptor MMA team. In the first encounter, Xuan Phuong - Ngoc Thuc had to admit defeat after only 55 seconds to the duo Nguyen Tien Long - Nguyen Trung Hai. In this encounter, Tien Long was accompanied by his new teammate Nguyen Thanh Thoan.

In the remaining matches, Vo Tien Dat defeated Le Nguyen Phuc (consensus); Quang Van Minh defeated Pham Thanh Ngan (consensus); Dinh Van Khuyen defeated Nguyen Thanh Duy (non-consensus); Tran Tra My defeated Karina Veis (knock-out); Bach Van Nghia defeated Tran Minh Nhut (consensus).

The only match between two foreign boxers also took place with the result as predicted by the audience when Siyovush Gulmamadov defeated Adel Iabbarov (unanimous score).

LION division 25 is the first time the matches are held outdoors, creating a lot of excitement for the athletes in front of the cheers of a large audience present here.
