Workshop on specialized endoscopic applications in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography

On June 6, Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital in collaboration with Boston Scientific Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized a workshop on specialized endoscopy applications in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography from theory to practice. The workshop was attended by 30 doctors and nurses working at medical facilities in the province.

At the workshop, doctors and nurses were updated on the application of endoscopy by experts from Cho Ray Hospital ( Ho Chi Minh City) and the Provincial General Hospital, such as: Updating the role of endoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary tract diseases; summarizing the situation of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography at the Provincial General Hospital and some experiences in handling large stones. After updating knowledge, doctors and nurses were able to review some cases of specialized endoscopy application in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography... Through the workshop, the team of doctors and nurses accessed in-depth knowledge in the field of endoscopy, improved their skills, thereby better serving the work of taking care of people's health.

It is known that since March 2025, the Provincial General Hospital has put into operation the gastrointestinal endoscopy service using artificial intelligence (AI). After 3 months of implementation, more than 1,190 patients have registered for anesthesia endoscopy, nearly 470 cases of conventional endoscopy, and 33 cases of interventional endoscopy using this technique.
