Market overview this week: Fuel prices rise slightly, pork prices fall.

Over the past week (June 2nd to 6th), the prices of many types of gasoline and diesel increased simultaneously. Specifically, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 67 VND/liter, reaching 19,263 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, reaching 19,698 VND/liter. Similarly, diesel increased by 284 VND/liter, reaching 17,420 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter, with a maximum retail price of 17,284 VND/liter. Only mazut decreased by 86 VND/kg, to 16,178 VND/kg.

According to the Dong Nai Market Management Department (under the Department of Industry and Trade), the price of live pigs in localities throughout the province last week was around 70-74 thousand VND/kg, a decrease of about 2-3 thousand VND/kg compared to the end of the previous week.

At first-class markets in the province such as Bien Hoa, Long Khanh, Long Thanh, and Phuong Lam (Tan Phu district), the prices of many food items are quite stable. Specifically, pork belly costs 150-180 thousand VND/kg, beef fillet from 280-300 thousand VND/kg, first-grade shrimp from 180-200 thousand VND/kg, and first-grade chicken and duck eggs from 24-35 thousand VND/dozen…

Meanwhile, the price of gold bars tended to fall quite sharply at the beginning of the week, at one point dropping by about 1 million VND/ounce compared to the end of the previous week, but then rose again towards the end of the week. Currently, the buying price of SJC gold bars is 116 million VND/ounce, and the selling price is 118 million VND/ounce.
