Market of the week: Fuel prices increase slightly, pork prices decrease

Last week (from June 2 to 6), the prices of many types of gasoline and oil increased simultaneously. Specifically, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 67 VND/liter, to 19,263 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, to 19,698 VND/liter. Similarly, diesel oil increased by 284 VND/liter, to 17,420 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter, with a maximum retail price of 17,284 VND/liter. Fuel oil alone decreased by 86 VND/kg, to 16,178 VND/kg.

According to the Dong Nai Market Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade), the price of live pigs in localities in the province last week was about 70-74 thousand VND/kg, down about 2-3 thousand VND/kg compared to the end of last week.

At the first-class markets in the province such as Bien Hoa, Long Khanh, Long Thanh, Phuong Lam (Tan Phu district), the prices of many types of food are quite stable. Specifically, pork belly costs 150-180 thousand VND/kg, beef fillet from 280-300 thousand VND/kg, first-class shrimp from 180-200 thousand VND/kg, chicken eggs, first-class duck eggs from 24-35 thousand VND/dozen...

Meanwhile, the price of gold bars during the week tended to decrease quite sharply at the beginning of the week, at times decreasing by about 1 million VND/tael compared to the end of last week, but then increased again at the end of the week. Currently, the buying price of SJC gold bars is at 116 million VND/tael, the selling price is at 118 million VND/tael.
