Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc received the Swiss Embassy in Vietnam

(DN) - On the afternoon of June 5, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc received and worked with Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam Thomas Gass and Swiss Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Werner Bardill.

Also attending the meeting were leaders of departments, branches, the Provincial People's Committee Office and Swiss enterprises operating in production and business in Dong Nai .

According to Ambassador Thomas Gass, Dong Nai currently has a number of large Swiss investors operating in production and business for many years. Some of them have been operating for up to 30 years. The commitment of these businesses shows the good relationship between Swiss investors and the Dong Nai provincial government. Ambassador Thomas Gass hopes that in the future, the relationship between Dong Nai and Swiss businesses will continue to be close and work together for sustainable development.

Sharing information about Dong Nai province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said that Dong Nai is one of the leading industrial development provinces in Vietnam. Up to now, there are 37 industrial parks established in the province, of which 32 are in operation. Dong Nai has advantages in terms of location and convenient transportation, the spearhead is industrial development to create breakthroughs. In recent years, the province's economic growth rate has always been high and stable, averaging 8% per year.

Regarding foreign investment attraction, currently in Dong Nai province, there are 50 countries and territories investing with over 1,700 projects, with a total registered capital of over 36 billion USD. Of which, Switzerland has 8 projects of investors with a total registered investment capital of over 939 million USD. Currently, Swiss enterprises are operating stably in Dong Nai province, of which typical projects include: Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Amata Industrial Park, Bien Hoa city; Swarovski Vietnam Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Amata Industrial Park...

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that the visit and working session of the Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam is an important opportunity for the two sides to share information and discuss cooperation potentials. Dong Nai Province is always ready to create the most favorable conditions for Swiss organizations, businesses and partners to come and survey and explore cooperation and investment opportunities in the locality.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that today's working session will contribute to enhancing understanding and building a close and effective relationship between Dong Nai province and the Embassy and Consulate General of Switzerland, laying the foundation for specific cooperation activities in the coming time.
