The program is implemented to enhance the effectiveness of state management and improve the quality of training in sport climbing; to provide professional training for instructors to meet the requirements for quality training services as stipulated by law; and to provide and update essential basic knowledge and skills to meet job requirements for training instructors.

The program was launched to enhance the effectiveness of state management and improve the quality of training in sport climbing.
The training is open to instructors at sport climbing training facilities nationwide and other interested individuals.
The professional sports training program for instructors of sport climbing consists of three parts: theory, practice, and testing.
The theoretical part includes 7 topics: The Party's viewpoints and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws on physical education and sports; Introduction to sport climbing, its formation and development; Basic techniques and factors affecting sport climbing; Guidance on organizing training and competitions in sport climbing; Guidance on planning and organizing sport climbing competitions; Basic knowledge on safety, hygiene, medical care, and nutrition for participants in sport climbing; and Rescue methods in sport climbing.
The practical section consists of four topics: Basic techniques of sport climbing; Guidance on organizing training and participation in sport climbing competitions; Organization and competition of sport climbing; Rescue and first aid methods in sport climbing training and competition.
Based on the specific content of each training course, the organizing unit will develop a framework for testing and evaluation that is appropriate to the scale of the training program and ensures compliance with the requirements of this framework, with the following evaluation criteria: Participants must attend at least 80% of the class time, pass the final test and evaluation to receive a certificate. The theoretical test has a maximum score of 50 points (25 points for passing) and the practical test has a maximum score of 50 points (25 points for passing).
The agency or unit organizing the training will issue a certificate to those who pass the examination. The certificate template is in accordance with Circular No. 07/2021/TT-BVHTTDL dated September 8, 2021, of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism , which regulates professional sports training for sports instructors.
The decision requires the training program to ensure the provision and updating of essential basic knowledge and skills.
In terms of basic knowledge, it is necessary to provide some fundamental knowledge in physical education, a clear understanding of the history of development, nature, characteristics, and role of sport climbing, and pedagogical principles in teaching; knowledge of safety in training and first aid for injuries.
In terms of skills, instruction must include basic technical training, some physical exercises, training hygiene, and initial first aid for injuries in sport climbing.
The program's content structure is scientifically sound, balanced between theory and practice, and open-ended to facilitate updating and supplementation to meet practical requirements.
