The event took place on the occasion of the 114th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2025) as a deep gratitude to the revolutionary artists and writers who made important contributions on the ideological and cultural front during the years of resistance.
"Liberation Art Troupe R - A historical mark" recreates the cultural front during the war through each page of the book.
“Liberation Art Troupe R - A historical mark” introduces the formation and operation of the Liberation Art Troupe, an art unit under the Central Propaganda Department of the Southern Central Office, established in 1961. In the fierce war conditions, the Liberation Art Troupe brought songs and singing to serve soldiers and people in the war zone, contributing to encouraging the fighting spirit and spreading the ideal of national liberation.
The publication consists of three parts: “Shoulder to Shoulder Under the Same Flag” (background of establishment and activities), “Portraits of Talents Against the Flood” (memoirs of artists and soldiers) and “This Fate, Keep This Object of Ours” (collection of songs and handwritten letters from the battlefield). This is a valuable historical research and documentary work, contributingto educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of sacrifice and the passion for art of previous generations.
Thematic exhibition of the same name with more than 110 valuable documents on the activities of the Liberation Art Troupe.
On the same day, a thematic exhibition of the same name was also opened at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh City Branch. The exhibition displays more than 110 rare documents, images, and artifacts about the activities of the Liberation Art Troupe; divided into three parts: "President Ho Chi Minh with culture and art", "Shoulder to shoulder under the same flag" and "Portrait of a talented person against the flood". The exhibition also recreates the space of the war zone with miniature scenes of daily life such as shelters, thatched houses, cassava, military sewing machines, etc.
The event attracted the attention of many young people.
Within the framework of the program, there will also be art performances recreating typical works of the Liberation Art Troupe such as “Crossing the River”, “The Lotus Song”, “The One Who Lives Forever in the Heart of the South”…, recalling outstanding achievements such as the Golden Lotus Award in 1969 or the Golden Apsara at the Phnom Penh International Film Festival in 1968.
Historical space is recreated at the book launch ceremony.
The event not only contributes to honoring the value of the Southern resistance culture but also inspires today's young generation of artists to continue to create, contributing to the sustainable development of the city's and the country's literature and art.
