On the afternoon of June 6, the Long Xuyen City Labor Federation held a conference to review activities in the first 6 months of 2025 and announced decisions on organizing grassroots unions. In the first 6 months of 2025, the unit has actively implemented many practical activities, closely following the local political tasks and taking care of the legitimate rights of workers. Newly established 4/3 grassroots unions with 20 or more workers, reaching 133% and developing 434 union members, introducing 87 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, and admitting 77 union members into the Party. Built and repaired 8 union shelters. Over 12,000 union members and workers benefited from Tet care activities, with a total support amount of nearly 6.3 billion VND; cared for nearly 1,270 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, and children of union members with serious illnesses, with a total amount of nearly 1.27 billion VND...

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Nhat Tien praised the efforts and contributions of trade unions at all levels in Long Xuyen City over the past 6 months. On this occasion, the Long Xuyen City Labor Federation awarded 36 Ton Duc Thang scholarships, 74 "Continuing to school" gifts, with a total cost of over 88 million VND; rewarded 10 groups and 87 individuals who excellently completed the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers in the 2024-2025 school year; 4 groups actively participated in Workers' Month. At the same time, the decision to transfer 5 grassroots trade unions of public service units not receiving 100% of state budget salary and 101 grassroots trade unions of enterprises under the Long Xuyen City Labor Federation, with 8,615 union members/10,378 workers, civil servants and laborers to the Provincial Labor Federation from June 10, 2025; the decision to dissolve 92 grassroots trade unions of administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of state budget salary from June 10, 2025 was awarded.
