An Giang: Searching for a subject accused of buying sex with a person under 18 years old

On the afternoon of June 6, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police announced that the unit had just issued a search decision for Nguyen Gia Thuy (born in 1983, residing in Vinh My Ward, Chau Doc City) who is involved in the case of "Prostitution Brokerage" and "Prostitution of people under 18 years old" and Tran Van Dat (born in 1993, residing in My Xuyen Ward, Phu My City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) who was accused of "Prostitution of people under 18 years old".

Previously, on September 6, 2024, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency coordinated with professional departments, Chau Phu District Police and Chau Doc City Police to deploy forces to catch 3 couples of men and women in the act of prostitution at Dong Xanh Hotel (Hoa Binh Hamlet , Vinh My Ward, Chau Doc City) and seized many related exhibits.

Based on the statements of prostitutes and documents collected during the investigation and verification, the police conducted an emergency search of the residences of Nguyen Thi Xuyen; Phan Thi Cam Hung (Xuyen's daughter-in-law) and Ngo Thi My Hanh (both residing in My Phu commune, Chau Phu district), seizing over 464 million VND, 5 motorbikes, many condoms, contraceptives and related documents. At the same time, they discovered 13 prostitutes aged from 13 to 22 at Xuyen and Hung's residence. During the investigation, it was determined that the prostitution ring was led by Xuyen and Hung, a mother and daughter.

Regarding this case, up to now, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police has decided to prosecute 46 subjects. Of which, 35 subjects were temporarily detained, 10 subjects were banned from leaving their place of residence and 1 subject was wanted.

Currently, it is unclear where Nguyen Gia Thuy and Tran Van Dat are, and it is necessary to organize a search to serve the resolution of crime reports. The Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police requests that individuals, agencies, and organizations that know information about the whereabouts of the two subjects Thuy and Dat, immediately notify the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police (through the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, address: No. 6 Ton Duc Thang, My Binh Ward, Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province) or investigator Le Trong Dat (phone number: 0976.015.009) to receive and handle according to regulations.
