Ms. Ha Thi Hai Chau, Anh Duyen's mother, shared: "From a young age, Anh Duyen showed quick thinking and a particular love for subjects like Math, Vietnamese, and Science . She was always proactive in exploring and learning, and wasn't afraid to challenge herself through intellectual competitions; at the same time, she maintained her achievement of being an outstanding student at the school for five consecutive years."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Trinh, Principal of Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School, proudly stands beside her diligent and academically gifted student, Anh Duyen.
Ánh Duyên said that to excel in her subjects, in addition to the curriculum taught at school, she also self-studied online for subjects like Vietnamese, Math, and History on the Trạng Nguyên Education website (the organizer of "Trạng Nguyên Vietnamese" - PV). She loves Vietnamese thanks to the inspiring teaching of Ms. Dung, her Literature teacher at school. Ms. Dung explains lessons clearly, her voice is engaging, and she often tells vivid stories related to the lessons, making Vietnamese seem less dry and more interesting. Furthermore, she enjoys reading fairy tales and gentle poems from her textbooks. Thanks to this, she not only excels in Vietnamese but also enjoys writing and reading every day.
Thanks to her diligent studies, Anh Duyen achieved many proud accomplishments last school year: Third prize at the city level and Second prize at the provincial level in the IOE English Competition; First prize at the city level, First prize at the provincial level, and Third prize at the national level (received the award in Hanoi last April) in the Vietnamese Language Champion Competition.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Trinh, the school principal, said: "Besides her academic achievements, Anh Duyen has a talent for chess. In class, she is gentle, always cheerful, sociable with her classmates, obedient to teachers, polite, actively participates in class discussions, and diligently reviews her knowledge to achieve the best results in each school exam and excels at all levels."
Recently, the school selected 18 outstanding students who excelled in various movements and won provincial and national awards (IOE English, Vietnamese Language Champion), including Anh Duyen, to visit the historical photo exhibition and weapons display of the Provincial Military Command; visit the photo exhibition of the Literature and Arts Association, the Library, the Museum, and participate in games organized by the units... as a reward to encourage their learning and training.
Because Ánh Duyên is petite, her family allows her to attend martial arts classes in the evenings to improve her health. In her free time, Ánh Duyên plays with Rubik's Cube and Lego, helping her develop perseverance and concentration. Speaking about her dreams, she shared: "I hope to become an architect someday, able to create beautiful houses and architectural works that contribute to building a more beautiful and modern homeland."
Vo Ha Anh Duyen's achievement is a source of pride for her family, school, and local community, a "beautiful flower" in the garden of academic excellence at the school named after the hero Phan Ngoc Hien.
