Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee inspects the situation of smuggling and counterfeit goods

On June 6, Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee Nguyen Van Be Tam led an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect a number of trading and business establishments in Chau Lang commune, Co To town during the peak month of fighting against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

The delegation inspected items at risk of being counterfeited such as: cosmetics, facial cleansers, perfumes, essential oils, baby milk, imported goods, soft drinks... checked business licenses, sales processes, product labels, expiry dates, origins; product price listings; documents and records related to business, environmental sanitation... At the inspection locations, the delegation also combined propaganda, reminders, and recommendations for shop owners not to sell goods of unknown origin, items with foreign words without additional labels...

It is known that during the peak month of fighting to prevent and repel crimes of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Tri Ton district will conduct inspections at markets and production and business establishments; National Highway N1, Provincial Road 948, Provincial Road 958; inspect and prevent smuggling in the border areas of Vinh Gia and Lac Quoi communes; communes that are transit areas to the interior, such as Chau Lang, Le Tri, Luong An Tra, Vinh Phuoc communes... On that basis, it will contribute to preventing violations of the law, ensuring a safe business environment for people; creating a vibrant and fierce competitive atmosphere among functional forces against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights, contributing to ensuring security and order, protecting the legitimate rights of people...
