Continue to implement the new phase of Front work

On the afternoon of June 6, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc City held the 4th Conference, term XI, term 2024 - 2029, to review the work of the front in the first 6 months of 2025.

In the past 6 months, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city has organized many conferences to disseminate and disseminate the Central's directive documents to the ward, hamlet, and religious and ethnic representatives. The unit mobilized the construction of 64 new houses and the repair of 10 Great Solidarity houses (4 billion VND); handed over 13 houses in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses from the support of the Management Board of Sam Mountain Mausoleum; presented gifts to 6,271 households that have escaped near-poverty, lonely elderly people, and households in difficult circumstances in the area (3.1 billion VND)...

In addition, the unit organizes many activities in implementing democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People; strengthening international solidarity, expanding people's foreign affairs activities; strengthening the organization, innovating content and methods, improving the effectiveness of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

The conference spent time evaluating the activities of the Fatherland Front; providing information on the city's socio -economic situation in the past 6 months. Delegates unanimously approved the Resolution of the 4th Conference, including the following contents: Continuing to mobilize philanthropists to support the purchase of health insurance for students from households that have just escaped near poverty and households in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 2025-2026 school year; coordinating to support the 2025 high school graduation exam; completing procedures for handing over books, assets, and finances when the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city end...

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc City Huynh Chi Oanh informed that, in order to implement Conclusion 127-KL/TW, dated February 28, 2025, the tasks of the 2025 Front work program must be temporarily suspended. However, these tasks will be transferred to the ward level after the administrative unit is rearranged; no interruptions will be allowed. Therefore, delegates are requested to continue to actively and effectively participate in the Front work in the new period; affirm the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the political system; pay attention to the lives of households escaping poverty and households in difficulty in the locality, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
