Vietnam’s 2025–26 coffee crop is looking up, thanks to favorable weather conditions. Abundant rainfall has improved expectations for coffee supplies, but this could add further downward pressure on global coffee prices, which are at a seven-month low, according to Bloomberg.
Robusta coffee production is forecast to increase sharply in Vietnam, the world's leading producer of robusta. This opens up the possibility of coffee prices cooling down, benefiting consumers.
Market expert Laleska Moda from Hedgepoint Global Markets said that the increase in coffee prices since late 2023 has encouraged Vietnamese farmers to take better care of their crops. They use fertilizers as directed and apply effective irrigation and disease prevention measures. In addition, some regions are also expanding their planting areas, contributing to increased output.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market increased sharply on two floors:
Robusta Coffee (London):
Delivery in July 2025: Up 96 USD/ton, to 4,689 USD/ton.
Delivery September 2025: Up 128 USD/ton, to 4,573 USD/ton.
Arabica Coffee (New York):

On the price front, coffee rebounded after the Brazilian real rose to a 7-1/2-month high against the dollar, triggering short covering by hedge funds in the coffee futures market and prompting Brazilian farmers to reduce sales to the export market.
While the improved supply outlook is putting downward pressure on prices, the market is technically oversold, which could lead to a rally if speculators close out their short positions.
Another factor supporting prices is that New York-certified wet-processed Arabica coffee inventories fell by more than 17,000 bags on June 5 to around 860,723 bags, with most of them stored in Europe and the rest in the US.
