Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc inspected the disbursement progress of key projects in An Phu district.

On the afternoon of June 5, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc led a working delegation (Group No. 4) to inspect key projects and the arrangement of working headquarters of newly established commune units in An Phu district.

At the meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of An Phu district informed about the disbursement of public investment capital; construction, repair and upgrading of key projects and administrative headquarters of localities in preparation for the merger.

Up to now, An Phu district has disbursed 15.8% of public investment capital, and by June 30, it is estimated that the disbursement will reach 20.6%. Regarding the implementation of investment in construction and equipment of People's Committee headquarters of communes and towns to prepare for operation when organizing a 2-level local government, through surveys, the need for purchasing and repairing facilities has a total estimated cost of 9.1 billion VND. Mainly to renovate the People's Committee hall, change the nameplate, upgrade the public administration center network and internal network.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc highly appreciated the initiative and direction of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of An Phu District in choosing the location for the new administrative unit after the merger and in arranging and streamlining the apparatus... At the same time, he requested that the locality continue to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of officials in streamlining the apparatus; focus on digitizing and managing scientific , streamlined, complete records, avoiding loss or misplacement; pay attention to investing and upgrading information infrastructure to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations; review financial and accounting processes and operations, perfecting items and projects to resolve appropriate revenue and expenditure sources.

In addition, continue to discuss with provincial agencies in implementing resolutions, perfecting the staff apparatus; proactively coordinate with departments and branches in public investment, apparatus arrangement, digital transformation; proactively develop specific and detailed plans for socio- economic development in 2025...
